Long Description:
The main HVAC system was modified years ago, and has not been tested and balanced since installation (1982). The system is a dual duct design and the built up air handler is located in the lower level mechanical rooms. Except for the print shop and sculpture areas, the building is conditioned by this built up AHU. The axial supply air fans and return air fans are split between two mechanical rooms on the lower floor. The S/A fans and heating and cooling coils are located in ME room 08 and the R/A fans in ME room 07A. Room 08 was found with excessive humidity, with condensation dripping from the S/A fan ductwork and mold had build up on the doors, walls and other surfaces. These funds will provide for an engineering evaluation to determine the causes of operational and conditioning problems.
