Long Description:
Frank Porter Graham Child Development Center, Alumni Hall, Howell Hall, and Bingham Hall have had long standing foundation leaks and water intrusion problems. It is necessary to excavate down to the bottom of the footings around the perimeter of these buildings. Once the foundation walls and footings are exposed, a new perimeter drain system needs to be installed. A new water proof membrane and protection board needs to be installed. Where applicable, the areaways need to be rebuilt and landscape drainage installed after the walls are backfilled. On the interior of the buildings, where applicable, the interior foundation walls need to have the mold removed, and be repaired and repainted.
