Long Description:
Renovate Lab HVAC System The 100% OA HVAC system serving the labs consists of a large built-up dual duct AHU, wrapped hot/cold ductwork, and lined mixing boxes and diffusers. Several sections of the AHU are corroded and molded. Diffusers are inadequate. Rebuild the AHU, including new pre-cool and cold deck CHW coils, and provide separate hot/cold deck fans with VFD's. Replace mixing boxes, diffusers, and connecting ductwork, including suspended ceilings. Renovate Perimeter HVAC System The perimeter ducted return HVAC system consists of a large built-up AHU, wrapped hot/cold ductwork, and lined mixing boxes and diffusers and interconnecting ductwork. Portions of the AHU are corroded and molded, and the floor insulation is saturated and leaking. Diffusers are inadequate. Rebuild the AHU, including the floor insulation, dampers, CHW coils, and provide separate hot/cold deck fans with VFD's. Provide VFD's for the four return fans. Replace mixing boxes with dual duct VAV boxes, and replace diffusers and interconnecting ductwork, including suspended ceilings. HVAC Energy Recovery System. The lab exhaust fans are recommended for replacement, and the lab HVAC system is recommended to be rebuilt. Provide a glycol loop energy recovery system to transfer heat between the exhaust streams and the outside air stream at the lab AHU.
