Long Description:
The HVAC systems in Wings B, C, D, E, and F contribute to poor indoor air quality, which presents a significant challenge for the occupants due to excessive moisture. Some spaces in Wing C are not as egregious as those in other Wings. Further, some spaces in Wing C present insurmountable space access obstacles. Therefore, we recommend a change of project title and scope to include the other Wings as well. Contaminated carpets are now being replaced exposing the original asbestos floor tile that will have to be abated, if it has become friable. During the course of installing the new HVAC systems, asbestos insulations that are present on some heating water and domestic water piping will need to be abated, if it is found in a friable condition.
